The Department of the Army has developed several programs to provide summer education activities for students approaching or enrolled in high school. These programs are designed to develop future scientists who might have an interest in working for the Army of Department of Defence (DoD). One such program, GEMS (Gains in the Education of Mathematics and Science) camp is being held this summer at the Engineer Research & Development Center in Vicksburg, MS.
After the success of the pilot program of GEMS Level I in July 2007, we will be offering a Level I, Level II, and if the budget is approved, a Level III camp this year.
GEMS I
GEMS I is offered to students entering 8th and 9th grades in the Fall of 2012.

GEMS II
GEMS II is offered to students entering 9th and 11th grades in the Fall of 2012.
Schedule: July 16-20
GEMS III
