  HSAP/URAP Applicants

News: The HSAP/URAP application window will open 1 February 2012.

HSAP/URAP will accept applications beginning 1 February 2012. The list of 2012 university laboratory sites has not yet been identified. The list of available HSAP/URAP university lab locations will be published on the HSAP/URAP locations page, once confirmed. Please do not wait for this list to post to apply to HSAP/URAP. Please select up to three states in which you would be able to participate in a commuter program (i.e. your home state, the states of any relatives/guardians with which you could stay for an extended period of time). If an HSAP/URAP laboratory is funded at one or more of your specified locations, your application will be forwarded accordingly.

NOTICE: You will not be able to save a partially completed application and retrieve it later to complete it.

Before starting on your application, prepare for the following questions:

List of the science activities you have been involved in (max 3000 characters)

Major academic and career interests (max 2000 characters)

Describe why you would like to participate in HSAP/URAP (max 500 words)

List of states in which you could potentially reside/commute daily for an internship

Students are selected by the University Mentor based on the information provided in this application, as well as any additional information that the Mentor may request (transcripts, teacher recommendations, interviews, etc.).

You will be contacted by the University Mentor directly if he/she has any additional requirements and if you are selected to participate.
